RYAN TAPP MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
Ryan Joseph Tapp was born on September 26, 1991. At the age of four, he was introduced to soccer and it quickly became his passion. He played soccer for 14 years, both in high school (Tara High School and Dutchtown High School) and for Baton Rouge Soccer Association and Baton Rouge Soccer Club. Ryan graduated from Dutchtown in May of 2010 and in May of 2011 he fulfilled his goal of enlisting in the U.S. Navy.
Tragically, his life ended on June 2, 2011, a few months before he was scheduled to leave for basic training. Because of Ryan’s love for soccer and his compassionate nature, this program was established to provide scholarships to children who have a desire to play soccer but whose families are unable to pay the associated fees.
Through this endeavor we not only honor Ryan and preserve his memory, but we also provide an opportunity for other children to develop the same commitment and dedication that Ryan had for a sport he loved so dearly.

HELP US RAISE MONEY FOR THE RYAN TAPP MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
Every year on the weekend of BRSC United Cup, Brew-Bacher’s located on Bluebonnet Blvd. donates 10% of their net sales to the Ryan Tapp Memorial Scholarship Fund. Your support will help BRSC provide the gift of soccer to children whose families are unable to financially afford the associated fees.
The date for the 2020 Taste for Tapp will be announced soon.
