WHAT IS THE PLAYER PATHWAY?
The Player Pathway is the hierarchy of programs established by BRSC to provide players with the opportunity to advance to the highest levels of play. Each step builds upon the previous one to assist players with skill development and tactical understanding as they transition to the next level of play. Players grow with every new challenge. Each progression along the player pathway will provide players with an increased level of competition, a higher level of coaching, increased exposure, and playing opportunities. Understandably, as each step gets more serious, the player's initiative for further refining their skills plays a critical role in their ability to excel and advance to the next stage.

MUDBUGZ (FOUNDATION)
AGES: 2 - 4
The BRSC Mudbugz “parent and me” style program offers a unique opportunity for children, ages 2 to 4 years old, to have fun, build motor skills, increase focus, and instill confidence all while becoming comfortable with a soccer ball at their feet. It is the perfect way for parents and children to spend quality time developing critical soccer skills in a fun environment, all while fostering a bond over the love of the sport!
RECREATIONAL
AGES: PRE-K - 8th Grade (PRE-K - 8TH AT BURBANK; PRE-K - 2ND AT INDEPENDENCE, PRE-K - 4TH AT CENTRAL & ZACHARY)
The BRSC Recreational League is an introductory program that provides pre-k through 8th-grade boys and girls of all skill levels the ability to play in a fun, relaxed atmosphere. BRSC recreational leagues are volunteer-based programs that require volunteer coaches. Leaegues take place at Burbank Soccer Complex, Independence Park, Lovett Road Park in Central, and Flanacher Road Park in Zachary.
ACADEMY
AGES: 5 - 12 at Burbank; 8 - 14 at Flanacher Rd. Park in Zachary
BRSC Academy is for the players and parents who are looking for a structured environment focused on player development. The program is open to boys and girls ages 5 - 12 at the Burbank Campus. Boys and girls can attend the Academy program at Flanacher Road Park in Zachary and Lovett R. Park in Central. BRSC conducts each session with professional Academy Coaches who follow the Academy Pathway and Curriculum.
10U Program
AGES: 8-10
The BRSC 10U Program introduces players to the competitive program. The purpose of the program focuses on player development, not team development. This low-stress approach allows players to explore the depths of their creativity without the stress of wins & losses. Players will participate in in-house play dates, festivals, and tournaments. Players train three times a week and are loosely placed in pools to help maximize development.
BATON ROUGE SOCCER CLUB COMPETITIVE
AGES: 12-18
The Competitive leagues are for those players who want to play and train at a more competitive level. There are up to four levels of Competition, Division 1, Division 2, Division 3, and Division 4. BRSC coaches place players according to skill level during the BRSC Player Placement Process. The goal is to put kids in an environment where they compete with and against similar levels of play. Training is run by well-qualified, licensed, and highly trained coaches whose goal is to provide the best soccer environment possible. These teams will play in a statewide league and compete for state championships at various levels.
LA Elite Soccer PRogram
AGES: 12-18
Louisiana Elite Soccer Program offers top U13–U19 players in Louisiana the chance to train and compete at the highest level under the guidance of expert coaches. Our boys' teams battle in MLS NEXT Tier 2, while our girls' teams take on the nation’s best in the Girls Academy (GA). With national showcase events twice a season, players gain unparalleled exposure to college scouts and MLS Academy programs. Ready to elevate your game? This is your stage!
COLLEGE & BEYOND
AGES: 17+
To assist our players to continue their playing careers upon completion of their competitive careers, BRSC offers college prep resources to help families navigate the recruiting process. High-school-aged players are encouraged to review the recruiting timeline, draft letters and resumes, and steps for success to be better prepared and know what to expect.
Additionally, BRSC offers our oldest competitive players and players participating in collegiate soccer to play for our semi-pro men's and women's teams. The BRSC Capitals (men) and BRSC United (women) both compete in the Gulf Coast Premier League (GCPL). Tryouts for both teams are announced in late spring via each team's program page and social media.
