RECREATIONAL OVERVIEW
BRSC Recreational League is a volunteer-based program that depends on the generosity of volunteer, parent coaches. The recreational leagues are a great way for new and experienced players to enjoy the game and learn at their own pace. Recreational leagues are available at our Burbank, Independence Park, Central, or Zachary campuses. Leagues vary by age range
Players can register as a pool player or form a team with friends. Pool players are placed on teams needing players or placed with other pool players to form a team.
Recreational soccer is available to players 4 to 17 years of age.
The BRSC Recreational Program is a volunteer-based program that focuses on fun, not wins and losses.
Please inquire about our Pre-competitive or Academy programs if you're interested in developmentally focused opportunities for your child.
VOLUNTEER COACHING
Serving as a coach is an incredibly fulfilling experience. The process of starting a team in one of our recreational leagues is simple if you follow the steps outlined below.
- Team Division (by grade and gender)
- Team Name
- Coach(es) name(s) and email address(es)
- Playing Campus (Burbank, Central, etc.)
- School Name (if this will be a school-based team)
- Sign up as a Volunteer Coach by clicking the VOLUNTEER selection button during your child's registration. If you would like to volunteer and are not signing a child, email Caleb Bush and Stanley Johnson.
- New coaches will need to complete a background check. Contact Caleb Bush with any questions.
- Let the parents of your child’s friends/classmates know the Grade, Gender, and Team Name of your team. They will need this information when they register online and request to be on your team.
If you are new or would like more information from our professional staff, the BRSC Coach's Corner provides new and experienced coaches with resources to help with planning practice sessions.
You can also use this page to reserve practice times and locations at our Burbank and Independence Park Campuses.
Coaches are encouraged to contact BRSC Director of Coaching Stanley Johnson with any questions regarding practices, game days, and any other assistance needed with managing a team.
