BRSC/LA Elite – Come Together to Support One of Our Own One of our LA Elite players and her family are facing an incredibly difficult time. Her mother has experienced a major medical emergency and has been hospitalized for more than a month. She will remain in the hospital for the foreseeable future before eventually transitioning to a rehabilitation facility. We are keeping the details private out of respect for the family, but there is no question that this has created significant emotional and financial challenges. As the medical expenses continue to mount, we want to do what we can to help. Most importantly, we want our player to know that she isn’t facing this alone. She has an entire club standing behind her. We want her to be able to continue playing the game she loves, traveling to away events, being part of her team and, as much as possible, simply being a kid while her family focuses on what matters most. Jambalaya Plate Fundraiser On Sunday, September 27, during our LA Elite ECNL RL home games, BRSC will host a Jambalaya Plate Fundraiser to raise money for our player and her family. When: 11 a.m.–4 p.m. Where: LA Elite ECNL home games Plates: $10 each Initial fundraising goal: $1,500 Every plate purchased will help support this family during a difficult time, and every dollar raised will make a difference. Want to Help? There are several ways members of our soccer community can lend a hand. We need volunteers to help with everything from gathering ingredients and supplies to cooking, serving and cleaning up on game day. And don’t worry, you don’t have to be a jambalaya expert to help. You just need to be willing to give a little time. VOLUNTEER FORM We are also accepting donations from individuals and businesses. Monetary donations made through BRSC will be placed into a designated account specifically for this player to help offset her soccer-related travel expenses.
