As the game of soccer continues to grow in Louisiana, we have a need for committed, knowledgeable, and well-trained referees. Quality referees are an essential part of player development. It also serves as an opportunity to earn a decent wage with a flexible schedule while maintaining a healthy lifestyle and making life-long friends.
The process to become a referee is simple but does require several steps before you can begin. Step 1 is to register and complete a background check. This is for candidates over the age of 18. This process can take a few days.
After registering and submitting your background check, there will be online coursework. This process typically takes 4-5 hours. Next, you will need to attend the field training. The next field course is scheduled for Sunday, October 3, 9:00 am-1:00 pm at the Burbank Soccer Complex.
