BRSC Update (4/30) – Spring Season

Dear Members,

We realize this is an emotionally and financially trying time. The health and safety of our BRSC family are at the forefront of our minds. You, our membership, are our greatest collective asset, and we are doing everything possible to prepare for a return to programming. Our coaches and staff dearly miss the players and seeing our parks packed with the sights and sounds of players of all ages enjoying the game we love.

Many of you have asked if Baton Rouge Soccer will refund or credit dues and fees for this spring season. As I have written before, I want to confirm for our players and families that we are fully committed to offering alternative programming, other comparable services, credits, and refunds.

The Governor’s stay at home order has been extended to May 15th. Our youth soccer governing body, the Louisiana Soccer Association (LSA) has determined that spring soccer is canceled including state leagues and state championships. At this time, we believe the earliest we can program soccer will be in June. You can read LSA’s latest statement regarding a return to play here.

Baton Rouge Soccer’s leadership is especially sensitive to the implications to players and their families at this time. Likewise, it is imperative that we prudently manage our resources during this crisis to both allow for the refunds and credits, and ensure the continued operations of the club.
