2026 Season
BRSC Capitals 2026 Roster
The BRSC Capitals are set for the 2026 season with a roster that blends proven talent and rising stars, building on the momentum of last year’s finals appearance. Featuring several returning standouts alongside an exciting wave of young players from the BRSC Competitive pathway and the Louisiana Elite MLS NEXT Academy program, this group reflects both continuity and the club’s commitment to developing the next generation of high-level talent.
With experience, athleticism, and a hunger to take the next step, the Capitals enter the new campaign with clear intent. “We didn’t bring this group together to be satisfied with last year,” said new Head Coach Sean LeBlanc. “There’s talent here, no question, but more importantly, there’s an edge. We expect to set the tone every time we step on the field and make it clear we’re the team to beat.”

BRSC Capitals 2026 Schedule
The Caps are back and ready to take on the 2026 season in the Bayou Conference of GCL2. This year’s format brings an added edge, with a six-game slate that turns every match into a must-see, playoff-like battle. With limited room for error, every point matters, and every night promises intensity.
A Familiar Fight, With New Twists
The Bayou Conference lineup blends the known with the new. Supporters will recognize Louisiana Krewe 2 as a familiar rival, while Louisiana Fire and SWLA Hurricanes enter the fold as fresh competition looking to make their mark.
Adding even more intrigue to opening night, a familiar face returns to Baton Rouge. Former Capitals head coach Craig Scott will be on the opposing sideline for Louisiana Fire when the Caps kick off their campaign, bringing an emotional and competitive edge right from the start.

BRSC Capitals 2026 Tryouts Set for March 18 & 25
The standard has been raised. Now it’s time to build what’s next.
BRSC Capitals will hold 2026 tryouts on March 18 and 25 at Our Lady of the Lake Fields at Burbank Soccer Park at 8:15 pm (field 5). After a runner-up finish in 2025, the expectation is clear: we are not rebuilding, we are reloading.
This year marks a new chapter for the Capitals as Sean LeBlanc steps into the Head Coach role.
Coach LeBlanc brings a proven track record of developing elite players and competing at the highest levels in the state and region. He currently serves as Head Coach at Denham Springs High School, and leads the 2008/07 MLS NEXT squad with Louisiana Elite. Capitals players and families will also recognize him from his role as last season’s assistant coach.
This isn’t a new face learning the culture.
It’s a leader who understands the standard.
Last season’s Capitals squad set the bar high. Competing all the way to a championship final requires consistency, depth, and a commitment to daily development.
Now the focus shifts to:
-
Raising the competitive level within the roster
-
Accelerating player growth and exposure
-
Building a team capable of finishing the job
What to Expect at Tryouts
Players can expect sessions that are:
-
High intensity
-
Game-realistic
-
Competitive
-
Evaluated with clear standards
Coach LeBlanc and staff will be looking for technical quality, decision-making speed, tactical understanding, and competitive mentality. But just as important is coachability. Players who embrace feedback and push themselves daily.
Who Should Attend?
-
College Players Looking to Stay Sharp
-
Elite High School Players (Juniors and Seniors) Preparing for College
