Boys College ID Camp

UAB Boys College ID Camp

On Saturday, June 17 we will host a Boys College ID Camp at Independence Park (location change due to Burbank closure for regionals). The camp is open to players in 8th -12th Grade as well as JUCO Transfers.  Registration will open at 9 am and closing remarks from the staff will take place at 4:00 pm. The cost for the College ID Camp is $160/player. This college ID camp is specifically designed for those players interested in playing soccer at the next level. UAB and other college programs will put the players through training sessions and matches that allow us to evaluate the player and instruct them on what it takes to play college soccer. If interested in being recruited to play soccer in college, these camps are a great way to get in front of a number of different schools and show your ability within the coach’s own environment.

Volunteers Needed for Southern Regionals

Southern Regional Volunteers Needed

Dear BRSC Families,

Southern Regional Championship is coming back to Baton Rouge! Starting June 23 rd , we will have 244 teams coming to Baton Rouge to participate in the Southern Regional SoccerChampionship. This represents a 36 team increase from when we hosted this event in 2019.

We are expecting well over 4,500 players along with coaches, parents, state representatives and referees from Oklahoma, Texas, Arkansas, Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Florida and of course Louisiana. All participates will be vying to earn the top spot in order to advance to Nationals. What a week this is going to be!

BREC is diligently working on adding 3 new soccer fields to Burbank. BRSC is working with Visit Baton Rouge and other partners to showoff our area’s charm and culture. The financial impact to our area should exceed $22+Million and this is all over an 8-day period in June.

The greater Baton Rouge area is known for providing great hospitality. As such, we are seeking your sponsorship or in-kind donations to help us make this a successful event for our community. This would include, but not limited to hospitality sponsorship/in-kind (VIP tent, Referee tent, College Coaches/BRSC Hospitality tent or medical tent), parking pass sponsorship or goody bags. This is also a great opportunity to show our community spirit, so if you know of any groups who would like to get involved, please let us know.

As with our local tournaments, this type of event requires many volunteers. We will haveopportunities for everyone ages 10 and up. Below recaps the areas we will be asking for volunteers:

– Field Set-Up – June 20th – 22nd – This is great for our youth players

– Team Registration – June 22nd (afternoon)

– Field Marshal – June 23rd – 29th

– Parking – June 23rd – 29th

– Hydration – June 23rd – 29th

– Awards Ceremony – June 27th – 29th

– Ball Boys & Girls – June 28th & 29th

You can sign up to volunteer for these roles here: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0E44A8A82BA3F9CE9-2023

If anyone is interested in a bigger role, such as heading up our VIP or College Coaches tent, or if you would like to help with an in-kind donation, please email kay@lsa-soccer.org. Food, water and free parking pass will be given to everyone who sign up and we will have daily drawings for prizes for our volunteers. Prizes include the winner’s choice of:

  • One registration for a Fall 2023 season of Recreational Soccer
  • One registration for a Fall 2023 season of Academy training
  • A $100 Third Coast Gift Card
  • One registration for a week of Summer 2023 Summer Camp

This is going to be a great week! We would love to see you out there.
