Marvin Smith
Director of Coaching

Marvin Smith is a native of Trinidad and Tobago. He came to US on a soccer scholarship to Huntingdon College in Montgomery, AL where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Human Performance and Kinesiology. Smith adds great knowledge, playing and coaching experience to our club. As a college player he was a three-time All-District and an All-American player. Smith was also a member of the Trinidad and Tobago Under -17 National Team and played with the Trinidad and Tobago Football Association (TTFA) first division club Arima United and second division club Bennifica. Smith’s coaching experience includes: Head Women’s, Men’s Assistant Coach, Huntingdon College; Director of Coaching, Attack Soccer Club; Head Coach/Player, Alabama Saints – Professional Development League (PDL); Alabama and Louisiana Olympic Development Program (ODP) staff coach. 

Coach Smith holds his NSCAA Premier Diploma, USSF “A” License and National Youth License. He is also the NSCAA State Technical Coordinator for Louisiana as well as a USSF and NSCAA national instructor.

Chris Mitchell
Director of Coaching Juniors U10-U13

Chris Mitchell returned to BRSC on May 15th 2017 from a seven year stint as the Director of Capital City United Soccer Club.  Chris grew up in Baton Rouge playing for BRSA and Baton Rouge High.  A member of the Baton Rouge Soccer Associations inaugural select soccer program called United and Jaguars from 1982 – 1989.  Team captain, district MVP, All Metro Star of Stars, District MVP in HS.  He went on to receive a scholarship to play soccer at Butler University and received a BS in Marketing.  At Butler, he was a four year letterman and selected to the All – State Collegiate soccer team in 1990.  Chris played semi-professionally with the Seattle Sounders(1993) and Arkansas A’s(1994).  Returned to Baton Rouge in 1998 and began coaching at BRHS (1998-2001) and with the BR Jaguars.  In 1998, became the Premier Soccer Director for BRSA.  He ran the BRSC Premier Program from 1998 – 2010.  During that time span he became head coach for University High(2001-present) and has lead them to 17 straight quarterfinal berths and 2 state title runner up appearances in 2009 & 2010.   

Coach Mitchell currently holds his USSF “A” coaching license . Chris is married to Angie Mitchell and they both have two girls: Sophia (07) and Savannah Mitchell (09).  

Kiran Booluck
Director of Coaching Seniors U14-U18 / Director of Outreach

Coach Kiran Booluck is originally from London, England. He graduated from Southampton Solent University with a bachelors of honors degree in Football (soccer) Studies. He then moved to the USA, working for Challengers Sports. He worked in the northern states before moving to Dallas, Texas. From there he eventually moved to Shreveport, LA. In Shreveport he worked for CABOSA/Shreveport United for 3 Years and was the head coach for older teams along with heading up the girls academy program. In July 2015 Coach Kiran moved to Baton Rouge. Since then he has been the head coach for multiple BRSC Competitive Teams along with being a head coach for multiple ODP Louisiana Teams. Coach Kiran Currently coaches the 2004 Boys Black and 2004 Boys Black Competitive team along with being the Head Boys Soccer Coach at Episcopal High School of Baton Rouge.

Coach Kiran has a UEFA B license, USSF B License, NSCAA Licenses and certifications including his Director of Coaching Diploma, Advance National Youth and Goalkeeping qualifications. 

 Roger Charcap
 Staff Coach

 Roger Chapcap is one of our outstanding young coaches. He is originally from Baton  Rouge and grew up playing soccer for the Baton Rouge United Club, BRSC, Cajun  Soccer Club, Redemptorist High School and Louisiana College. Chapcap’s coaching  experience includes: 2005- 2007 Zachary High School Assistant Coach, 2007-2009  Parkview Baptist Head Coach, 2008-present BRSC Head coach for our U16 Girls and Boys Black team, 2008-present BRSC Developmental Coach. Chapcap holds a National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Advance Regional Diploma. Chapcap is a teacher at Parkview High School.

 Adrian Garcia
 Staff Coach

 Coach Adrian has been coaching club soccer for 15 years and has spent the last 2  with BRSC. After graduating from college, he played and coached in Auckland, New  Zealand for a season. Coach Adrian has 12 years of high school coaching experience  including the last 10 at St. Amant high school. He holds a USSF D License. 


 Paul Fletcher
 BRSC Tournament Director and Competitive Coach

 Paul Fletcher grew up in Central America (Panama, Canal Zone). He played soccer in  high school for Cristobal High School. He coached his first soccer team while in 11th  grade. He has coached with BRSA/BRSC since 1995 and has been coaching for  BRSC since 2010. Paul led his u-18 boys team, Bullgators, to the State Cup. His U12  Maroon BRSC team was a state finalist in the 2012 State Cup. He coached for St. Amant High School and has coached for both the boys and girls soccer teams at St. Michael High School since 2005. He is currently the Head Coach for the St. Michael High School Boys Team and coaches the BRSC 00 Boys Maroon. Paul holds a USSF National "D" license.

 Jennifer Kennedy Franklin
 Staff Coach

 Jennifer Kennedy Franklin joined our BRSC staff in the fall of 2008. She enjoyed an  illustrious intercollegiate playing career at University of North Carolina – Greensboro,  where she was named to the All-Conference team for three years, All- Tournament  team, and team captain her senior year. She also played in the W-league for the  Piedmont Spark/Greensboro Twisters for 8 years and for an amateur team who received 2nd place in Nationals held in Seattle (2007). She also participated in the North Carolina ODP as a youth player. Franklin’s coaching experience includes: Club coach for Winston Salem Twins and Greensboro Twisters. She was also the Head Coach for Northwest Guilford, HS where she received conference Coach of The Year and Regional Coach of The Year honors in 2007. She currently coaches our BRSC 00 red and 01 maroon girls’ teams.  Franklin is a teacher at Greenbrier Elementary and coaches High School Soccer at St. Michael's High School. She holds a United States Soccer Federation.

 Valerie Split-Log
 Goalkeeper Staff Coach

 Native of Baton Rouge. Grew up playing in goal for BRSA, BR Jags, GSA, and BRSC.  High school soccer at Bishop Sullivan in 2003/04, at Woodlawn High School 2004- 2007. All District & All-Metro at both schools. College soccer for the Crusaders from 2007-2010 at William Carey University in Hattiesburg, MS. All-Conference and All-Region teams & Rookie of the Year Freshman year. Started coaching with BRSC in 2011. Third season as assistant/goalkeeper coach at Southern University of Baton Rouge. Has coached keepers to the All-Conference and All-SWAC Tournament teams in the past 2 years. USSF D License and Level III Goalkeeping License.

Eddie Lestrade
Staff Coach

A native of the New Orleans area, Coach Eddie grew up playing all facets of sports.  His love of soccer started in 2008 when his oldest daughter began playing.  He began his coaching career shortly after through the recreational program at BRSA.  In 2014 he began coaching for Sherwood Middle Magnet where he has won 3 middle school tournament titles to date.  Two of his three girls currently play at the competitive level for BRSC (2003 and 2008).  He joined the competitive staff in 2018.  Coach Eddie currently holds a USSF National "E" License.

TS Noble
Staff Coach
TS Noble has been coaching soccer since he was a teenager and began coaching with BRSC in 2017.  He played soccer as a youth in the Shreveport area before attending LSU.  TS has coached at the competitive level for 7 years, academy level for 2 years and high school level for 11 years.  He works full time with Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) in the Baton Rouge area.  TS holds his GK III (NSCAA), Base 2 GK (UEFA-Sweden), and USSF C licenses.
